Toxins are substances or chemicals that have harmful effects on bodies. They can either be minor or deadly and the leading cause of diseases to humans.
We are consistently exposed to toxins everyday and these toxins can be divided into two types.
(1)Endogenous Toxins- these toxins originated within the body's regular metabolism and are produced in the form of unhealthy emotions
(2)Exogenous Toxins- these toxins come from external sources such as food we eat, water we drink, air we breathe, etc.
Toxins are normally eliminated from the body by the liver, kidneys, lymphatics, colon, lungs and skin thru the feces, urine, and sweat. The more toxins we have in our bodies, the more stressed are placed on these organs of elimination. Because of this, organs may begin to malfunction that will lead to weakening of immune system.
Ignoring toxins can lead to sickness such as fatigue, headaches, insomnia, muscle stiffness, depression, allergies or worst may result to damage of internal organs or tissues. We cannot control toxins from entering our bodies but we can take measures to lessen it.
Detoxification
The human body can detoxify itself. They can get rid of toxins and protect itself from harmful chemicals. However, due to too much toxins everywhere, we have to help our body detoxify.
